cannot see thumbnails

Good day,

I wondered if someone could help.

I use adobe illustrator mainly alongside bridge most of the time.

I am also running the software "Onyx-Thrive" as a rip queue for wide-format printing.

I don't know if an update installed recently has caused my problem or if it's related to the Adobe updates.

But since then I am now unable to see the thumbnail preview or open any PDF files. I'm advised they are read-only. Can anyone help with this? I've uninstalled most of the Adobe suite I have installed and reinstalled it.

Illustrator appears to open the PDF's but Acrobat does not plus no thumbnails at all in Bridge.

Many thanks

Simon

Does preview open those pdfs? They show as 0 bytes which means no content.

Thanks for your reply.
No. everything appears to suddenly show as 0kb. I've just logged in to my nass and everything is showing with above 0kb.

Do you think a re-mapping to the network drive may help this? I do suddenly have a hell of a lot of temp files?

thanks,

Thanks,
I'm trying to find out who has been logging on and deleting files.

I believe they are still in a recyle file on my Synology NAS but proving who it is between the time I left and the next day. Bride Cashing would not have effected this would it?

Caching does not delete anything. I'd make sure you don't have malware and check with Synology to see what they say.

Thank you for all your replies.

I don't know what happened but, I think everything is showing up again.
I just wondered I believe Bridge now has a "New Content" tab option, can we not "Open in new window"? or am I just missing the menu option?

Thanks

That is correct; in this release, we can make multiple Content tabs to move things around and look at things but only in one window.
