changes not saved in camera raw

hello,
Sometimes after opening and editing a jpg in camera raw and pressing "done" the changes are not saved and do not appear anywhere. Why does this happen?
I usually use bridge for masking and changing color.

Hi @Kssndrah First, as your subject points out, the application you're having is with ACR, not Bridge. ACR is a plugin for either Bridge or Photoshop.
Anyhow, the dynamics of working with JPGs is a bit strange after they have been adjusted with ACR.
First off, the JPG format is a container format. That is, they can contain files like a folder. When you make adjustments to a JPG image, you will not see the XMP file adjacent to the JPG as you do with a raw image. In addition, you can only see the adjustments if you have a copy of ACR on your computer. If you adjust a JPG image and send it to a friend who does not have ACR on their computer, they will not be able to see any adjustments. The only way to make adjustments to a JPG image and be able to send that image to others, and for them to see the adjustments, is to re-save the JPG as a new JPG. That way, all of the adjustments are "cooked into" the image.
I hope this helps, good luck!

I'm having the same problem, but with raw files.

Hi, @Martin23380985b9km. You do not state what you are doing with the raw files where you're seeing this. Can you please elaborate? For example, you open a folder of raw images, open up some of the raw images in ACR, and then what? Are the adjustments not showing up in the same folder? Are you moving the files from that folder to another folder? If so, are you making sure the XMP (sidecar file) is moved with the original file(s)? What camera's raw files are these, or have you converted them into DNGs?
Please provide the full details of what you are doing and seeing. Screenshots would be welcome as well.
