I recently updated Bridge, and now files no longer open in photosop with a double click. I have to right click and use "open with". All my file assosictions are set correctly and photoshop is set as default to open files, so that is not the issue.
Bridge 2025 Version: 15.0.0.397
Mac OS: Sonoma 14.7
How do I fix this?
Both - I resolved it. I found and changed the following setting in Bridge. Under the General section I found a checkbox called "Double-click edits Camera Raw Settings in Bridge"
And under Application settings, I had to change the check box from Bridge to automatically choose the latest version of photoshop to specifically telling it to open in photoshop.
Thanks for responding and willingness to help. It has been driving me crazy for a week. Of course I finally figured it out immediately aft

it helps only for RAW files. PSDs and other files are still not being opened.
not with doubleclick, not with right click -> open, not with command+O . this is a massive bug and makes this app almost unsuable...

EDIT. it does not help to uninstall and install an older version. some global settings are screwed up!

ok. here is the solution:
on mac -> go with finder to library -> application support -> adobe and remove all bridge 202X folders. install an older version of bridge. do not import any preferences with the first start..
cheers!
