Sep 14, 2023 Sep 14, 2023

Would anyone else find it helpful if Adobe Bridge offered a feature to Expand/Collapse All Subfolders when right-clicking on a folder in the Folders Panel?

You are now able to create your own custom shortcuts within Bridge.

See under  Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts.

Expanding and collapsing subfolders is an option which you may assign to various key combinations.

If unsure, there are plenty of tutorials avaialable to demonstrate.

Adobe needs to first add the functionality (and the shortcuts)!

OK then go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts.

Top left, second box down , choose "Application"

Bottom left box, scroll down to "View" and expand it.

Scroll down to "Show Items from Subfolders"

Click on the key to which you would like to assign your shortcut.

Drag "Show items from Subfolders" onto the right hand panel into the place you would like it any Modifiers you wish to use (Ctrl, Alt etc) or None if you want.

In the attached picture I have assigned the shortcut to Shift + S as an example.

Click "OK"

Your done apart from saving your custom keyboard shortcuts (Save As... at the top)

NB This shortcut will act as a toggle expanding and collapsing subfolders. To expand all subfolders simply choose the parent folder and activate your shortcut key.

Hope that helps you.Keyboard ShortcutsKeyboard Shortcuts

I think expand all subfolders only exists for the content panel right now.

The request is to expand subfolders in the folder panel in order to browse the folders before one is selected to open in the content panel.

Is this correct @jhgfuoipdfg8oi35njker8 ?

What I described above works fine.

Select a parent folder in the Folders Panel and apply the saved custom sortcut. Subfolders then open in the Content Panel.
