Hello Adobe, the year is 2024 and the import of image files in Bridge still does not work via a CF Express card.
Why is that? Please be so kind and inform.
Thanks an best regards
Martin

Hey Martin, we're sorry for the trouble.
We need more details to help you. What version of Bridge and operating system are you working on? Have you allowed Full Disk access to Bridge?
If not, follow the below steps to Allow Full Disk Access for Adobe Bride:
Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy. Now click on the Privacy setting. Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Shivani

A small addendum
Bridge can recognize SD cards that are used in the reader.
Importing images is no problem here

Hi Adobe,
you have new Information about this case for me?

This is a system limitation, because of how CF Express cards are handled by the OS. Lightroom has the same problem. Just copy the files with the Finder/Windows Explorer instead.

That's not quite right. Lightroom works perfectly with CF Express cards.

Bought a new card reader: Xcellon CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD Card Reader
Bought a new card: Lexar 256GB Professional CFexpress Type B Card DIAMOND Series
Write Speed | Maximum: 1700 MB/s Sustained: 1600 MB/s Minimum: 400 MB/s |
Operating system is: Windows 11 Home (version: 23H2 / OS build: 22631.4931)
I can see the files on the card vis file explorer.
