I quite liked the look of the new Bridge (V13) but I have had numerous problems. Like looking at a photograph and then moving on and looking at another but it still keeps the first one selected. This is annoying when trying to edit one but catastrophic when you decide you want to delete ONE photo and it deletes two. Also I have found it keeps jumping all over the place with my photos. I am going through editing them and choose the next and it jumps to the top or the bottom ?? I have also noticed a weird problem with the screen flickering like pulsing. Not sure if the program does not like my graphics card but I have never had this issue before this update
So its back to the previous version for me

I'm reverting back to Bridge 12. Bridge 13 performance is just terrible. I feel like, if you can't add a few new features without destroying the performance then its not worth it to add a few new features because a lot of people won't be able to use it. I haven't even used it long enough to find many bugs, other than that the first version did not zoom with control+scroll wheel. They kinda sorta fixed it but performance is so bad that its hard to tell.

Like many others, I have also one back to v12. (Even V13.0.2 is unusable - both crashing after preview AND excruciatingly slow/erratic when showing/updating thumbnails.) And after struggling with V13 for a bit, V12 is a blessing. BUT - there is one problem: when I am in Bridge and I do Tools->Photoshop->Batch to invoke an Action, Bridge tells me I must install the "latest" version of Photoshop. Which I already have, literally. Anyone knows how to get around this? I don't want to revert to older Photoshop/CR, because then I'd lose the new masking etc...

My bridge app isn't crashing; however, I had to revert back to 12 because version 13.0 can't preview whats on my desktop except for my external drives or flash drives. Would anybody have a fix to this?

Big Sur, huh, OK, good news/bad news. This is the last update you can get before you need to update to OS 12, and/or get a new computer (which will give you a newer OS automatically).
Meanwhile, I think the problem you are having is Apple's Permission's issue. Please try this:
Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, and select it; it will now appear in that window, and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.
Please let me know
[Note: these images are from an older OS, the process is the same.]

That worked! Thank you for your help.
In your initial email, do I understand you correctly when you stated
because of the age of my Macbook that I will not be able to install the
next generation (12ver.) operating System?

Yeash! I'm sorry I was not specific enough. I was referring to any update from the Adobe Creative Cloud.
BTW, I removed all of your personal information from your previous message. While there are mostly great people on these boards, there are a few not-so-great. Be careful out there.
Meanwhile, back to your issue: Adobe has a practice of only certifying their software on the current and last two OS software updates. So, currently, the Adobe software will work in OS 11, 12, & 13. By fall, the Mac OS will move to OS 14, meaning that OS 11 will no longer be certified for use. What this means, in reality, is that any new ACC software released will be checked to work with 12, 13, & 14, but if there are issues with OS 11, you are on your own—they will not address any bug reports for that OS at that point. So, at that point, you either have to upgrade to OS 12 (which I think you can do) or not get any more updates from Adobe, as they may not work. This is NOT to say they will not work, but if they do not, Adobe will not be doing anything about it.
While obviously frustrating, it is understandable as there are so many different kinds of computers out there, and so many external peripherals (Wacom, etc.), and so many operating systems, to try and guarantee complete performance for all gets more and more expensive as the number of OS's increase.
What I do suggest is that you update to OS 12 at your convenience so you do not have any unexpected issues when the next ACC release drops. And be aware it can be a bit challenging to find older OS updates (I've had issues myself) because Apple does want you to update to the latest/greatest. They are out there; just be persistent.

I think Adobe have a team of monkeys in charge of development and UX - and I'm not being rude - this can't honestly be the work of humans... It MUST be a team of monkeys!
I was unable to do anything with the professional version of Adobe Acrobat so cancelled my subscription to that. Now having to downgrade from Brdige 13 to 12.
