GPS Data Missing in Bridge

Explorer ,
Nov 26, 2022 Nov 26, 2022

Hello

In the past GPS data was present in Bridge. Now, even with an unedited NEF file the GPS data is absent but is present when the NEF file is opened in other programs

Thanks for your help

Ray

Hi @Ray Rozema Sounds like your GPS data was turned off in Bridge. Here's how to turn it back on.

In the Metadata Panel, open Preferences:

Once Preferences is open, scroll down until you get to GPS

Then, simply check all of the GPS data you want available.

Please note that there is no "Map" available in Bridge to show you this data, but I think there are some 3rd party companies that do provide such features. Unfortunately, I've never researched this so I cannot point to any good or bad ones.

Good luck!

Thanks for your response, GPS data was turned on. I turned it off then
turned it back on and restarted Bridge but no luck. Do you have other
suggestions

Thanks Ray

OK, here's a question that I have to ask: do the photos in question have GPS data? My iPhone and DSLR both provide GPS data, but my previous DSLR did not. So, if I happened to click on a photo from my older DSLR, it would show nothing (and would be correct).

Hi
Thanks for asking. Yes the file has GPS data. In fact if I open it in
Bridge on a different computer the GPS data shows up

Thanks
Ray
