Hi there!
I used to use bridge CS6 to make a contactsheet. (not using photoshop)
But now, I cant find how to make a contactsheet in Bridge CC. I used to select OUT PUT in CS6, but there is no Out Put bottom in CC.
Could anyone help me please?
To add the Adobe Output Module to Bridge CC, please follow the directions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
We have repaired and updated the files to correct an issue where the panel would appear blank if you did not have Bridge CS6 installed.

Exactly, if you read the documents you have to create this folder.

Mmm then my english is not that good, can't read that anywhere, just to place the downloaded folders into the CC extensions folder.
If you could point me out the sentence where is written to create a 'Bridge CC Extensions folder' I won't be bothering you anymore

Bridge CC extensions folder, but I don't have a folder named like that.....
Yes you have but you are looking in the wrong library, your screenshots shows the user library while you have to look at the system library/ App support/ Adobe/ Bridge CC Extensions

The reason for your (and my) original confusion is because the instructions (not here - but in the original link) are incorrect. At the bottom of this help thread Install Adobe Output Module it has a NOTE; on how to access the Library.
It calls out "User" Library here, then gives instructions on how to find it - which obviously causes confusion. I know the original instructions mention say "Mac OS:/Library/Application Support....
So, why they felt the need to call out this note and direct us to the User Library is beyond me.
"Note: In Mac OS, the User Library folder does not appear by default. Use this TechNote to access this folder."
When you go to that tech note it says to do this:
"Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the 10.7 and later releases of Mac OS. If it's necessary to access these files for Adobe-related troubleshooting, use one of the following methods to make the user library content visible.
...Hold down the Alt (Option) key when using the Go menu. The user library folder is listed below the current user's home directory.
Note: After you open the Library folder, you can drag the Library icon from the top of that window to the Dock, Side Bar, or toolbar. That way, it's readily accessible.

March, that note is at the very bottom of the document for a reason. It is there to explain the steps in the "Possible Issues" section for Solution 2, Mac OS, Step 2. The steps here do involve going into the User Library folder. If this note had been intended for the installation instructions, we would have posted the note much higher up and closer to the step the involved them.

Understood, but as you can see from above, Im not the only one that had issues with knowing we even HAD two Libraries. I made the mistake of reading through all the instructions before beginning – an old habit from working on putting together my childrens toys I guess ("Read All instructions before beginning"), and so I saw the note that in MacOS the Library is hidden - thinking to myself 'Thank goodness I read through all the instructions before beginning"
I would think that there would be a way for Apple to actually have the folders have different names - like 'System Library" and "(User)Library" (where User is the actual username). Im pretty sure it used to be called System Library a long time ago.
Either way, i see the mistake was mine, but it surely could be more clear when a machine has two items with the exact name - can ya feel me?

I'm still sorta lost and confused. Why wasn't this just feature just added as something that creative cloud automatically updated for us?
This seems like a great deal of work to add something that should be automatic.
Currently, I'm stuck. I've found this hidden library folder,
and did the chain
That's my problems the very last step there is no extensions folder. I guess I could make it but not sure that will cause the bridge to burn and fail.
I'm not the most technically minded person and this is very frustrating.

I just tried pasting the folder into Adobe Bridge and it doesn't work. There is no extension folder.
Has anyone made a video of how to complete this difficult install, I didn't see anything on youtube.
I'm just out of luck it seems.

DONT use the hidden Library (that was my mistake too). Start off by going to your hard drive, then opening the Library there - do NOT use the hidden user Library - hope that helps.
As an FYI: even though I did get this to work, it still is not as good as the previous version because it still can't "include subfolders" which is a very useful (and in my case necessary) feature. Therefore I just open up the previous version of Bridge to make contact sheets now until they actually restore all features of the Contact Sheet as it was before (if they do).
I hope so, as this is the only thing I use bridge for. it is WAY faster and better at making contact sheets than photoshop.

Adobe, what is wrong with you? Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of the following:
Designers use Adobe products
Designers take photographs (or have libraries of images/graphics)
DESIGNERS NEED TO MAKE CONTACT SHEETS EASILY
When you make decisions like this you literally turn the workflow of working professionals into chaos. Who would have ever thought, in a million years, that you would remove a main function of Bridge like this. Bravo Adobe. One more reason to stoke the fires of discontent with your products.

The Output Module was never a "main function" of Bridge. There have been 6 versions of Bridge (CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC). Of these only two had the Output Module as part of the basic installation (CS4 and CS5). Before Bridge was around and for the first two versions of Bridge (CS2 and CS3), Contact Sheets were created using Photoshop (in any version, you can use Bridge and Photoshop in combination to Create Contact Sheets by going to Tools > Photoshop within Bridge). We removed the ability to create Contact Sheets from Photoshop and they were instead created in Bridge through the Output Module (again, CS4 and CS5). However, our customers had grown accustomed to creating Contacts Sheets in Photoshop and wanted the original functionality back. For version CS6, we returned to the original behavior: Photoshop creates Contact Sheets, Bridge does not have an Output Module. Some of our customers liked the new way of doing things, so we provided a way of adding the Output Module back manually to CS6. This continued to be the way of providing this functionality in CC.
So, those who have been creating Contact Sheets for a long time found chaos when we moved that functionality to Bridge. Those who like the new way of doing things have a way of continuing to do so.

This is incorrect.
Of course, Bridge CS6 has an output module.
I still have Bridge CS6 on my computer - and I did not install any additional file.
So, this whole thing with Bridge CC not having an output module is total nonsense.
I regularly have to create mood boards for clients - and now, that I pay monthly, I have to use an old and outdated software, Bridge CS6 to do that, because you guys at Adobe always change things around without giving us professionals enough options, therefore stealing valuable hours from our workday.
If you'd only be a tad more customer oriented and giving us what we want instead of trying to tell us how to do things (and differently every year) it would be way better.
As of now, it's a mess.

Sounds exactly like consumer sentiment that saw people drop Quark Xpress, for Indesign. The customer has it all wrong. We just want to add the useful functionality of contact sheets, to an image program, is that too much to ask?

The panel is still blank in the 2017 version. I noted that the link (How to install Adobe Output Module in Bridge CC 2017 ) has recently been update but the output panel is still blank [in Windows 10 (version 1607) Bridge version 7.0.0.93 x64].

Great detective work, Malty.
Looks like a deficiency introduced by the unfailingly bungling installer team, who forgot to install that component.

Thanks Malty, that did the trick (after I put it in the wrong Library, also )
Long live the internet!

In Bridge: Choose Preview mode, mark the files you want. Go up to Tools > Photoshop > Contact Sheets. Photoshop will open and you have the possibility to make contactsheets there. Not as good as in Bridge, but it´s there ...

I've just read that the Adobe Output Module no longer will work for Bridge CC after trying to install several times. Why would Adobe do this? What is the point of using Bridge then? It's incredibly frustrating.

I don't know where you read that Victoria, but it's not true. See http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html, which is specifically about Bridge CC.

I read that in the second comments posted above.
Nevertheless, I've gone to this page http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html to install the Adobe Output Module and it still isn't working for me.
I've tried to find a way in asking Adobe Support and yet when I click on Contact Support it doesn't send me to a chat link, phone or email, only to other forums and instructions on other troubleshooting errors which is incredibly irritating.

Not true? Really? I recently upgraded to CC from CS6 and I was astonished to find the PDF-output facility was not included as standard. It's a feature I require and use frequently. I have followed the link you (and other sources) have provided, downloaded & installed the add-ons as per instructions, and have spent 2-3 deeply frustrating hours trying to make the damn thing work. I still do not see "Output" appearing in the Workspace section, even after updating CC and re-starting my (new, fast) PC more than once.
Why does Adobe screw people around like this? What geek without real-world experience decided no-one needed the PDF Output facility? Hopeless.

OK. There was a link posted in Jan 2105 and the unsupported fix would not work for Yosemite. Is any patch or fix or update on the way now that El Capitan is out? I agree with previous sentiments. Adobe took a great feature for working photographers and needlessly threw it away.

Originally, Bridge did not have these functions, they were something that Photoshop did. But multi-file workflows made more sense in Bridge than in Photoshop (easier to navigate and select multiple files). So the functions were move out of Photoshop and into Bridge. But those who had been using the functions in Photoshop were very vocal in letting us know that they preferred the functions in Photoshop. So we returned to the original structure. Now we have a very vocal group letting us know that the newer setup is the preferred method. So we created a way of adding the features back in (since it is essentially a plug-in). However, we have not released a new version of Bridge since this has occurred, so there is no installation method that includes these features preinstalled. As you may have noticed, there hasn't been a CC 2014 or 2015 release of Bridge. But we did get a team together to create a security patch recently, so we may get a new version of Bridge as well. If that happens, we should have these features prebuilt in the application again.
Until then, you can install the feature by following the directions very closely. For every person that I have talked to on the phone or in person (such as most recently at Photoshop world in Vegas about two months ago), the problem was that the directions from the documentation were not followed correctly. The downloaded files were not placed in the correct folders. Please double- and triple-check that the required files have been placed in the correct folders. If you are still having trouble getting things working correctly, please post screen shots showing which files and folders you have place in which locations.
There is no reason that this should not work in Yosemite.

Hi Brett... My problem is I have 'Output' as an option, but when I select pix, the output panel is blank. This is driving me bonkers. I have checked at least 10 times, and I believe I have installed the output folder/workspace file in the right spots. Please help me!
