I am new to using bridge and want to explore using this as my workflow...  I have two external Drives and both hold JPEG and RAW images.

I would to see the best way of viewing all images by type in Bridge, to work and tag them.

I do not seem to be able to do this in Smaet Coillections.

Thanks in advance Paul

You cannot as far as I know.

You would need a program like Lightroom.

But even then you would have to move between tabbed workspaces.

List View maybe? I'm unclear about what you want though.

sorry I did not exlain what I wanted to achive correctly...

I would like to be able to seach two external drives at the same time,  I am trying to do this by creating a Smart Collection of those two external drives.

However when you create a Smart Collection, the drop down choice in the Source list, only allows you to select one Drive at a time.

Thanks... Paul

There is a file manager program that should do the job for you I think.

Hi Paul,

Since you are a Mac user, you do have one other option: HoudahSpot.

HoudahSpot, like Bridge relies upon the Mac's Spotlight's search info generation. However, both Spotlight and Bridge have a very narrow search capability. HoudahSpot leaps over Spotlight by also providing Boolian Searches. For example, you can search for "my-california-photos" but exclude jpgs and tifs and only search for CR2. Since you have mulitple Drives you can search on one drive and exclude others, you can inclue date ranges, etc. etc.

The Houdah company has several more products but this is all I use, https://www.houdah.com

There are very few products I can't imagine not having on my Mac, this is one of them.

Hi Paul,

As far as I know Bridge is hard-wired to Spotlight. It cannot see or intereact with HoudahSpot.

Sorry, I was just focusing on your issue to have two concurrent focused searches.

Good luck
