Hi, @jhenrysphoto, first: No message is deleted unless it is profane, verbally attacks people or persons, or is soliciting money (e.g., spam)
Second, what you're describing is something that I've never heard of before. I've seen people who think their files are missing but later found them. I've seen people frustrated at how Bridge screwed up with renaming files. But leaving them blank is a new one.
Now, to help you find your images, I need your OS (and what release) and which version of Bridge you are using (and what release). Also, some screenshots would be a great asset. Also, where are these files located? By that, I mean, are they on your computer's hard drive or on an external drive? If they are deep in subfolders, please let us know that as well.
One last point: Obviously, you take your images very seriously; that's wonderful. Anyone who takes the time to take photos and doesn't care about them is, well, strange. Whenever I take photos, I always make sure I've got a copy of those images on another drive before I start processing the images. That way, if anything like this happens, it's only an inconvenience, not a tragedy. [For the next time, right?]

Well Thanks for pointing that out! You know I am human and I do make mistakes. I still learning how to use Bridge, I am a lightroom user and Lightroom doesnt allow you to do this in there program so you have to do it here on bridge. And renaming images under bridge. Fortunatly I used Bridge and I saved the photos in the same file. And in the photos below you can see I lost my images under and unknown format. With this format the computer ask you what format you want to use to save them under and under the second picture you can see it allows you to open up any format but it doesnt save them in the original jpg format. It renamed all the photos but I lost the images that go with the photo, I would appreciate some help in retriving my photos. Unstead of being ridiculed by a random email. I just need help! I know I should have backed them up. Thank you for support.

Hi, @jhenrysphoto, I guess the reason I harp on backups and do not do anything to an original image with a copy nearby is that that was a lesson I learned the hard way early on in my Photoshop learning process (this was long before Bridge, Lightroom, etc.)
And please, if it appears that I ridiculed you by my suggestion, that was NOWHERE NEAR MY INTENT. If it appeared as such to you, my humble apologies. Seriously, I was only trying to help.
So, from what I see from your screenshot, all of your images have no suffix, and that's very probably the issue.
As I look at the image above, I'm seeing a (bunch of text) + (.) + (_) + (sequence #). However, I do not see any file type. While normally, placing a period in a name is not against the rules, I think that the period you have confused Bridge into deleting the JPG suffix.
So, to fix this, place a period after the 003 and then add jpg so it would look like "HSFBCheerAng._0003.jpg"
However (again), it would probably be best if you removed that extra period so that it looked like this: "HSFBCheerAng_0003.jpg"
I am not at all sure how this happened, but if you happen to have the Batch Rename window open with the settings you used to do this, I could better understand what happened. Normally, the suffix (the file type) is never removed or changed because that is the kind of file that it is. If you renamed the suffix "fred," it would be no different than what you have right now because there is no application that has a file type of "fred." And, in this case, "nothing" is no different than "fred."
If you look at the screenshot below, notice the purple rectangle that shows what the rename would look like if the new Filename construction was used as is. [The original file name + the date + sequence number, and the file type (jpg)]. Always look at that before you click Rename.

Now, to fix this, please manually do it to one of the images. I'm pretty sure that it will work, but you only want to test on one. Go to the "003" image and change the name to "HSFBCheerAng_0003.jpg"
IF THAT WORKS, Then using the Batch Rename tool, set it up like this: Please note that the last "Text" is ".jpg" and there is a period before the jpg. Normally, you should not need to do this, but for whatever reason, it's needed this time.

Please let me know if this works or not.
