newer bridge updates preview not working and search problems

I have both a laptop and a PC tower and on the three latest bridge updates the preview is blank on both machines. The version 12 works fine. Also on my new PC (when I search the exact same search on both machines) it only finds a 10th of the imges that my laptop finds.

Thanks for getting back to me.

As I needed to get the problem sorted out quickly for work I could not afford to wait so long. I contacted Adobe and got the problem sorted out via a staff member who remotely took over my computer to do several things like driver installation and updates. It appears that version 13 auto updates did not automatically install the neccesary updates need to make the new Bridge updates to work correctly. This is rather worrying for my future auto Bridge updates.

Bridge 12.0.4 and 13.0.3 won't open my folders at all?? I'm on a mac Big Sur 11.7

Have you given permission for Bridge to access these folders?

 

This is not the fault of Adobe or anyone; this is Apple making sure that applications that have not been given permission to access areas of your computer cannot access those areas of your computer.

 

Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, and select it; it will now appear in that window, and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.
