there is no such .mp4 file extension in the preferences under file extensions,

there is no such .mp4 file extension in the preferences under file extensions, there is .m4a, but when i select wmplayer, it makes no difference. So does anyone know if i can set file preference for .mp4? (what is the term they have used?)

That is not the problem, wmplayer plays my .mp4 no problem when i right click them in File Explorer - its juist Bridge that has the problem?

I know it doesn't help your situation , but mp4 files play just fine on Bridge here.

 

Have you tried resetting your preferences, and if that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling Bridge?

well, thats it, I just upgraded to a new PC, and now I can't get it to work. I did try both wmplayer locations, there is one in Programs, then there is one in Programs (86). But neither worked.
