Thumbnails don't show b&w previews

Bridge 12 won't display properly some image thumbnails. So far is has to do only with b/w images; they are displayed in color. But it's not happening for all images; seems random.

 

Problem persists even if I refresh and purge cache.

    Windows 10, current Ps & Br versions.

    Files are PSD. Ps settings: image previews Always save, PSD/PSBcompatibility Never.

     

    Since you mention type, I saved the same file as TIFF and problem persists. Also, made a duplicate (did some editing) saved it as PSD, and still no correct preview. The problem seems to have to do with the specific file.
