Uninstalling Bridge

Explorer ,
Nov 10, 2019 Nov 10, 2019

Is it safe to uninstall Adobe Bridge?

I can't recall installing it at all and I don't use it but unsure if it's needed on my system for use by other Adobe packages. I also have two Bridge updates sitting in my Creative Cloud window that I'd like to remove if possible.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

You should have on copy on your machine to open files into camera raw or PS.

But it is not a requirement.

You can always re install any version by selecting the three dots in the ACC /Bridge app and un=install/install any version you want.

The one issue that may give you pause to uninstall it is if you want your colors coordinated across all of your Adobe applications. Bridge does this, no other app does this. To see this, go to the Edit menu and select Color Settings...

And as 007 said, it's a very efficient application to see your raw images, if you take them.

Good luck,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Really appreciated.

Thanks also for the words of caution, I'll certainly look at the Color Settings in the Edit menu.
