I have been selecting images in Bridge and using the tools> Photoshop> photomerge, image processor, etc for decades. Now thery are gone. WHY????? Now there is "auto collections" instead. It is a ridiculous overcomplication to my workflow. Perhaps it is useful to some. But, why take away such a great and simple way to process images with photoshop without having to open them. I would really like some answers.
I can appreciate adding new features, but it is not right to take away ones that works so well, unless it makes your job easier and bettert.

You probably have installed the Photoshop beta. There's a bug in the instillation that it does this.
What you need to do is to uninstall the RELEASE version of PS (2023) and then reinstall it. That should solve the problem. Let us know either way, thanks!

I removed the Photoshop Beta version altogether as I don't use it. I left the latest Photoshop, though and the Photoshop tools still aren't there.

Please read what I wrote and do what I suggested. Uninstall the release version and then reinstall the release version.

Thank you. That seems to have done it. I thought you meant to remove Beta Photoshop.

If you want, you CAN reinstall the new Beta, but that might (again) remove the tools, but then you can uninstall the RELEASE version and then re-install it. Then, things will be back in order, and you can have both versions.
Good luck

I think I'll leave well enough alone for a while. I really appreciate the help. And I'm not all that impressed with AI stuff in the Beta. I can wait until they get their act together. I have to much work to do on my projects to experiment.

This Beta has been extremly buggy and a huge headache. I lost my Photoshop from Tools in the beta version about a month ago and then in the bridge preferrences set the file type associations to open with 2023 24.7 instead of the beta and got Photoshop back in the tools. Now today, Photoshop is gone again even though my file associations are set to open in the older PS. I've now uninstalled the Beta completely and I still don't have Photoshop in my tools. I suspect I'll need to uninstall 2023 24.7 and reinstall it to get Photoshop back in Tools. Another bunch of work I don't have time for because I can't figure out how to save my edited shortcuts of which I have a ton. Ugh....no Betas for me ever again.

I think the Beta was causing chaos in the background even when not in use. During this period of moving back and forth between the Beta and the current PS, I would keep losing all of my presets and edited shortcuts every time I did an reinstall. This time before my reinstall of the current PS I uninstalled the Beta and this time on the reinstall, everything was in place and was easy peezy. I won't try a Beta again after this.
I am aware that you're not really supposed to have two versions of PS on your computer at one time but for my last 20 year using PS, it had never been a significant issue like it was this time.
