I am having to completely rebuild my PC as the motherboard has died. I managed to save the hard disk, but it having to be re-formatted.

I will be able to access the system files before hand.

Can anyone please tell me which are the MOST IMPORTANT files to get access to for Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom?

Bridge: I think Bridge keeps the Keywords in a seperate file, which Id love to get hold of, to stop recreating this list.

Are there any other files that I should get access to, in order to rebuild ny configuration.

All guidance gratefully recevied.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Graham,

Bridge Keywords are a must. Simply export them out as a plain text file from the Keywords panel menu. You can mess around with the XML file, however that is not really necessary:

Prepression: Bridge – Restoring a Lost Keyword XML File

Some other Bridge assets could be Batch Rename settings, Collections or Smart Collections.

For Photoshop, Actions are a must:

Prepression: Photoshop – Custom Action File Backup & Migration

however there are many more assets that you may wish to backup:

Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Hello,

How about to export all the customized  Batch Renamer presets made in Bridge?

I can't find anywhere how to export them because I would like to share them between different machine as is possible with keywords.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

I found the answer in another topic:

In this path is possible to retrieve the customized batch renamed presets done:

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2020\Batch Rename Settings

For Windows users only.

Substitute "Username" with your local user name of your account on Windows.

All the best!
