Since I have the Nikon Z9, I shoot in RAW, when I take the photos from the camera to computer it will post 2 raw photos names NEF and NEF1. in Adibe Camera Raw. So if I take 20 photos I get 40 photos. THis doesnt happen with my other cameras, D500 and Z7II. How can I stop this? THanks for any help.

Hi, @Boxerdogmom, Please let me restate what you're saying so we can be sure what the situation is.
You ingest your images into your computer using the Photo Downloader from Bridge.
The images are doubled so that you have "myimage-001.nef" and "myimage-001.ne1f."
And those two images are otherwise identical, correct?
For the record, can you please verify what your platform is and what release of your OS is? Also, please verify what release of Bridge you are using.
Thank you,

Thank you Gary_sc I tried e -mail but it said your mailbox is full and unable to except e-mail. In answer to your questions: Both images are the same in Bridge as they come from the camera. They are labeled NEF and 1NEF. I have an HP Laptop with Windows 10, I have all the current updates and use Bridge 2024 14.0.1.137. I also use the Nikon D500 and Nikon Z7ii and they do not double the images in Bridge just the Z9. Thanks for any help.

Hi, @Boxerdogmom, Which mailbox did you try to send to? If you tried to DM me via my Adobe account, that (a) should never fill up, and (b) I do not have all that many emails in there. So, if you did try to send me an email there, I need to investigate. So, please let me know where you were sending me the email.
Meanwhile, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Windows's and Mac's approach to files with the same name have additions at the end of the name, not before (or after) the suffix.
Now, one technical point: in your first email, you state it's "NEF and NEF1," but just above, you state "NEF and 1NEF." When the Adobe folks see this, it might make a difference. But either way, this is beyond my pay grade (but then again, I do not get paid for helping here, so everything is above my pay grade! :>)).
There was a bug a while ago that caused the images to be doubled during ingestion, but that was for all images, not one specific camera model. Sounds like it may have come back for more haunting.
