Update to Media Encoder 24.1 has greatly worsened render times

I recently updated to the latest versions of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, and as for the Audition, After Effects and Premiere features, I can certainly see an improvement. With Media Encoder, though, it's totally another story. I've been editing podcasts that last in average an hour and a half to two hours, and it usually take about 1 to 2 hours to render. Since the update, I've seen it climb to about 10 hours without doing anything different (Even though I don't see could have been done to upset rendering that much). 

 

Any insights on what could cause this issue? It's really a deal breaker for me if something as simple as this simple podcast takes 10 hours, I don't want to see anything with high production...

I am sorry for your bad experience. Let's look into this. Which workflow are you using? Audition > AME? PPro > AME?

My workflow is Audition > Export to Premiere > After Effects > Premiere Pro > AME. I've been using this workflow for about 2-3 years now, without issues. Might I add, it's a podcast I'm rendering, and the video version is the one with the issue, the audio only version took 3 minutes.

So the slowdown is in the export from Premiere Pro to AME. What are your hardware specs? Would you be able to share a project for us to look into? I can private message you the instructions in this forum.

I have an Intel i7-6700K, 32GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. I could provide a project for you to look into without a problem. I have plenty examples that worked in the past and took just a couple of hours to render. Let me know how you'd like to proceed.

I'm still waiting on feedback in PM on the matter. It's not solved since the 24.1.1 update. I had up to 13 hours of render for an hour and a half of not highly edited video.
