Keyboard shortcuts

With a Norwegian keyboard and English OS and Photoshop, I'm seeing the same thing as @D Fosse .

But the major annoyance I'm having is that with PS freshly opened, I have to click somewhere in the interface to make any keyboard shortcut work. 

This used to work properly in the past, probably in CS6 and earlier.

InDesign behaves exactly the same way.

Thank you, this trick works (cmd+shift+alt). I'm not sure if it's the right solution to the problem, though. I would prefer the programmers to take care of it.

I suspect that this is connected to region and language. Either because your keyboard layout is not the standard English, or because application/os languages are different from keyboard. Or a combination of both.

I get this occasionally, with a Norwegian keyboard but English Photoshop and Windows. A very long time ago I noticed how consistent it seemed to be between different systems. I also noticed that none of the English-speaking people here seemed to have this problem. So I concluded there had to be one common factor, and the only one I could find was region/language. It makes sense.

Anyway, my standard fix is to hit ctrl+shift+alt+K, the shortcut for keyboard shortcuts, which for some reason always seems to work. Strangely enough. But that always kickstarts the shortcuts back into action.

I have the same issue. This is ridiculous. This is like the most basic function of any software.
