HELP: Can't Drag Footage/Layers/Audio from Project Window only from the Source Monitor

I'm using Premier Pro beta 24.1 on windows 10 and having a problem, where I can't drag footage/layers/ audio from the project window. I can only drag it once I click it into the source monitor. I've looked everywhere online and have not seen anything like this.

 

FYI I do have my source patching set up correctly for both video and audio.

 

The only way I can bring adjustment layers/color mattes into my sequence is to use the insert button. This is extremely annoying. I have reset my pc, reinstalled software and tried new sequences—nothing helps.

    Howdy...

    In this latest version, it appear some bin functionality is broken. I can no longer move items between bins, and the bin 'triangle' doesn't rotate when I click it..

      Having the same issues! Only way I can use bins is in Icon view. List view is just broken.

      I seem to be having an issue with the beta build from October 25, 2023. I can click, hold and drag anything in the project panel. I screen recorded a quick video to show the bug: https://share.cleanshot.com/XdgL1xXs

        Hola! alguien que me de una mano por favor.
        Dentro del Premiere 24.1.0 Beta, las carpetas en el tab del proyecto, no se abren o se abren raras. Parece como que no tienen niveles, todas las carpetas y archivos estan a la misma altura, aun cuando abro una carpeta dentro de otra, todas se muestran igual. Lo mismo con los archivos dentro de ellas, sean fotos, audios, videos.

        After the update I can no longer drag or drop to timeline nor drag and drop to folders within the bins (project panel) ........

          It seems its the beta acting up. I will no longer be using beta ever again. This thread has been concluded.

          The project window in the Premiere Beta doesn't work properly. Examples of issues below:

          • There's no difference between the levels of folders vs their parent. Put another way, if I open up a folder, the items within would be indented a bit to the right. Now they're all lined up, and folders cannot be collapsed.
          • Double clicking on media items is more likely to rename than open in source window.
          • I have to double click on folder items to access the contents of any folder that's not already open.

            Kinda alarming that something like this is in the Beta 😕😕

            Having the same issue here.  Cannot distinguish between subfolders and main folders.  As well as the fact that I cannot drag certain things from the project window onto my timeline

            Ich kann bei der Listenansicht im Projektfenster keine Clips mehr in die Timeline mittels Drag and Drop einfügen. In der Freiformansicht oder Symbolansicht jedoch schon.
