Hi,
I made some pictures with my "Samyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS" on my Sony A6000.
After shooting i always set my exif-tags with the exiftool so i can identify the used lens later.
As you can see the Lens information is included in the exif tags.
In ACR the correct lens is still not detected
I have to use the custom function:
Is there a way to get that lens detected with the default / auto function?
On which property the lens is detected automatically?
kind regards
georg

Hi Georg,
You can install the Lens profile manually so that Camera Raw can detect it.
Please check this conversation and let us know how it goes: Camera Raw: How can I successfully add the lens profile from the manufacturer? | Photoshop Family Cu...

Hi Sahil,
Thanks for your answer.
The profile for that samyang lens already exisists in ACR.
What I really want to achieve is that the profile is automatically selected.
I guess this should be possible via the correct exif attribute?

Still not found any solution for that problem.
Does anyone have any experience with this topic?

I'm guessing that the format entered in ExifTool may not exactly match what Adobe require. Do you have any samples of lens data that does work automatically, so that the correct formatting can be reverse-engineered?

Awesome! That was exactly the attitude I was looking for. Now my manual lenses are recognized and set correctly due to the EXIF tag I set manually.
Thanks a lot!
