Lens Profiles apply to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web).   Lens Profiles are available for a wide array of lenses. Not every lens is currently profiled, and of those profiled, not all are profiled for all camera and file types. For example, there may be a profile for a particular lens and camera mount for the raw file but not for the JPEG. This post applies to Adobe Camera Raw plug-in.     Adobe Camera Raw team is sharing an early look of our new Reflection Removal feature, which removes reflections caused by plate glass surfaces from photos.    Note:  The feature currently only works on raw photos. Support for JPEGs & HEICs is added in the April 24 Update. There is a known issue on some Windows machines where the feature may produce a corrupt image. Typically I get the message “Something went wrong...”Usually, it’s a problem in Camera Raw interface itself, but when opened through Photoshop, it may work well.I have reset all preferences in CR and Bridge, my GPU drivers are absolutely up to date as well as my Windows.After reset it worked one time!! Then it came back.If I reset GPU support in the Camera Raw settings, it will work for a while - nobody knows how long, but the error comes back.These maskings as well as other related editing has worked flawlessly for months, but lately - and here I am not sure for exactly how long - after some updates, it fails!Jan Petersen, Denmark

On the attached photo, Distraction Removal > People replaces a group of people with a black patch, not a generated removal.   Tested on LR 15.0.1 on Mac OS 15.7.1, Mac OS 26.1, and Windows 11 Intel (so not specific to a GPU or driver). See the attached screen recordings for each of the three installations.   To reproduce:   1. Import the attached photo DSC02574.ARW.   2. In Develop, select Distraction Removal > People. I often work with RAW files that contain GPS coordinates, but for privacy and wildlife protection reasons I must ensure that exported files (TIFF/JPEG, etc.) do not contain any location data.Right now, I have to export from Camera Raw and then run a separate step with external tools to strip all GPS tags from the output files. This adds friction to the workflow and introduces the risk of accidentally sharing images that still contain GPS metadata.I would love to see a simple checkbox in Adobe Camera Raw, for example:“Remove GPS metadata from output files” (or “Include GPS metadata in output files: On/Off”).When enabled, Camera Raw would strip all GPS tags when writing the exported file, so no GPS data from the RAW source is carried over into the output image.This would make it much easier to produce privacy‑safe files directly from Camera Raw, and would be especially valuable for professional users in wildlife photography, journalism, and other sensitive fields where publishing exact l

Systemabsturz bei Entrauschen in cameraraw

Hallo liebe Community,bei der Bildbearbeitung in CameraRaw kommt es immer zu einem Systemabsturz, wenn ich Entrauschen verwende. Ab der Mitte des Entrauschungsprozesses laufen die Lüfter meiner Grafikkarte (AMD Radeon 6500 XT, 4 GB) plötzlich auf Hochtouren und das gesamte System, also nicht nur Photoshop, stürzt ab. Mit externen Entrauschnungsprogrammen, wie bspw. Topaz tritt dieser Fehler nicht auf. Betriebssystem Windows 11 Pro. Der oben beschriebene Fehler trat auch schon unter Windows 10 Pro auf. Kann jemand helfen?Gruß Willy

P: Noise artifacts produced by enhance details

The enhance details feature appears to produce some rectangular and square noise artifacts in the processed image. My baseline is a daylight RAW landscape (call it X1) photograph taken at ISO 100. The artifacts appear in the upper half of the photo (a partly cloudy region above a mountain range).   Lightroom Version: 11.2 OS Version: Windows 10 Pro, Build 19044.1526   The steps outlined below are intended to illustrate the difference in images produced by Lightroom's baseline demosaicing algorithm with the "enhance details" demosaicing algorithm. Of course, the artifacts could be due to issues with the baseline algorithm ... but I doubt this is the case as it has been fielded for quite some time.   The TIFF comparison process (steps 11-19) has been successfully used to evaluate Lightroom sharpening and noise reduction combinations. Other than the "enhance details" DNG, I have not seen similar artifacts produced by Lightroom.   Steps to reproduce the are as follows:

P: Camera Raw Plugin (Bridge) holding onto memory

When using Bridge to copy AI Denoise settings to 100+ files, it starts using increasing amounts of RAM, up to 80-90 GB. It seems to stop rising beyond that amount, however then the denoise process slows down with GPU idling most of the time, waiting for the next file to process.I've been experiencing this issues on both ACR 17. x and 18.x so far, on several different PCs with RTX 2080 Super and RTX 5090 GPUs.

Raw from Lightroom to Photoshop>Camera Raw Adjustemnts are all at zero

From Lightroom when I go to edit a Raw file in Photoshop and then filter in Camera Raw, the Lightroom settings are visually copoed over but all of the values sliders in the Camera Raw filter ar all set to zero. I have only just started to try and use ACR and prefer it over using the Lightrrom version but this has got me stumped. I like to use Lightroom for browsing albums and I like to make initial edits but now want to use some of the luminoisty plug-ins that are photoshop to take my photography to the next level.  I have included both Lightroom and Camera Raw scvreen shots showing that the settings are passed over (i deliberatly dropped the exposure to make the difference obvious) but the slider values are not. Hope someone can help. Chris

P: ACR 18, LrC v15.0 & LrD 9.0 Landscape masking does not work

Landscape AI masking does not work in LRC V15. After a while no mask is generated nor displayed. Using latest W10 64 version, i7 with 32GB RAM,  Nvidia Quadro p620 with latest drivers (DirectX V12) and latest LRC process (V6). Everything worked fine until the update. Have tried disabling graphic card and same results. Any clue ? Is that happening to someone else ?

I would dearly like to see the Lightroom 4 Beta team implement an additional feature in the final release. That feature would be the ability to take a camera+macro lens image of a B&W negative -- essentially a camera-based scan of a negative -- and invert the negative image to a positive image at the beginning of the development process in such a way that the resulting sliders in the LR4 Develop Module would not operate in reverse. As I understand it, this capability exists in Photoshop, but I don't own Photoshop. I do own Photoshop Elements 9, but that program only supports an 8-bit workflow, not 16-bits per channel, and round-tripping between LR & PSE9 requires the reimportation of a TIFF file that is more than twice the size of my NEF RAW files. Since this programming wizardry already exists in Photoshop, I would think that it would be a relatively simple matter to transfer and adapt that code for LR4 -- but then, I'm not a programmer, so what do I know...I've been digitizin

This post applies to Camera Raw.  Feedback for Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop should be posted here.   Update February 2025:Adobe has introduced two Adaptive Profiles – Adaptive Color & Adaptive B&W.   Getting started with the Adaptive Profiles:  Access a profile inside the profile favorites menu.  In addition, there is a new section for Adaptive Profiles in the Profiles browser.  Enable the profile and adjust the ‘Amount’ slider as desired.  Use the rest of the Camera Raw tools just like you would otherwise.  Check out the Help Page for more detailed usage information.
