Hi everyone, I've scoured everywhere for an answer and seem to be getting nowhere.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows (in easy to follow steps) how to sync RAW files in Cloud to use on desktop and mobile? I am mainly editing on my laptop but would prefer to edit on my phone when I'm not with my laptop. Does anyone know how to do this? I don't use the classic lightroom and when I try to upload the raw files to adobe cloud- it says file type not supported.
Many thanks,
K

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

You use the words "Sync" and "upload", so not sure of the meaning. How exactly do you do this?
In Lr-Desktop (v7.1.2) You can [+ ADD PHOTOS] to the catalog. (lick on the (+) icon to initiate the Import.). They then are stored in your Lightroom Cloud for access on any mobile device with Lr installed. (Includes: Lr v7.1.2 on a Desktop tower, a laptop , iPhone, iPad, Android device,)
You also state- "when I try to upload the raw files to adobe cloud"- What do you mean by "adobe cloud"? If you are placing image files in a Folder called {Creative Cloud Files} then that is the wrong thing to do. (In fact this 'Cloud' folder is being deprecated.)

Hi, apologies for not knowing all the technicalities of the words, I'm doing my best to try describe what I mean but yes, I've tried the screenshot you included and its not linking up with my LR app on the phone. The photos are there on the laptop one but not my phone app and both are logged into with the same account. 😞

Someone with more knowledge than me might have an answer, but the first step might be to determine where the 'sync' is failing.
In a web browser, go to {lightroom.adobe.com} and sign in to your account.
If the photos that you [Added/Imported] to Lr on the laptop appear there, then they must be syncing 'up' to the Lightroom Cloud storage. If they are not then appearing in your Lightroom App on the phone then they must not be syncing 'down' from the Cloud.

What Version Number of Lightroom do you have on the laptop?
Does the Lightroom App open a Library of images on the Laptop?
Is the Laptop connected to the internet by WiFi or ethernet cable?
Do you have the RAW files on the Laptop drive?
Have you Added/Imported the RAW files to the Lightroom Library on the Laptop?
