As long as when you first start photoshop you open a photo using camera raw, then camera raw and the camera raw filter should work until you restart photoshop.

Adobe is aware of the issue and is working on it.

Did Camera Raw update as well? I received my updates this morning, and everything seems to be working properly.

Camera Raw updated also. I can open image with Camera Raw from Bridge without issues. Then, with the same file, I can then transfer from ACR->PS. Then I can move between PS and ACR. The problem is inconsistent. Some files work with the PS<->ACR plugin and some do not. They always work with the Bridge -> ACR -> PS route.

 Beyond me.

I don't really have any suggestions for you. All I can say is that on my Windows 10 computer things seem to be working properly. I mostly use Lightroom. I opened an image from Lightroom as a smart object into Photoshop. From Photoshop I was able to open that image in the new Camera Raw. I have been able to open images from Bridge into Camera Raw. But that is as far as I have been able to go so far. Don't know what to tell you beyond that.

Very sorry for the inconvenience! This was an unfortunate bug. We fixed it and released a new ACR 10.2.1 for Windows today. See here for a link to download the build:  Camera Raw filter not compatible with this version of Photoshop
