Hi everyone !

I am using Photoshop elements 2021.

After editing a RAW file, how can I save it into a JPEG file ?

In the left bottom corner, I only have a button called "Aide" (which means "Help"). I have no button called "Save", as I have seen on some youtube help videos.

The only format available when I want to save is DNG.

Does anyone can help me ?

Thnak you in advance. 🙂

The photoshop elements version of camera raw is only able to save as DNG files.

What you need to do is open your camera raw file from the camera raw window using Open and then in the photoshop elements editor go to File>Save As>JPEG.

Despite using File>Save As>JPEG and Save A Copy and Alt+Ctrl+S, I still have no JPEG choice. With my PS Plan my software is current. I start with my Cano RAW file.

In Photoshop go to:

Edit>Preferences>File Handling

and check the box Enable Legacy "Save As"

That should give you the choices you are missing.

I changed to the Legacy setting & got a JPEG for one photo then with the next photo there was no JPEG choice. What's going on? Why is a JPEG choice not always listed? It can't be for lack of space. And why is the Noise Reduction AI saved only as a DNG? If I wanted now to send that version out for printing what format would you suggest?

I have no idea why saving as JPEG works for one file only. I do not experience this.

You might also try Photoshop's Image Processor to generate your JPEGs. It can process an entire batch of images in a single execution. It is accessible directly in Photoshop or via Bridge under Tools>Photoshop.

If you enable Technology Previews in Camera Raw Preferences, the Denoise function is changed to its new incarnation whereby it is now an editable, non-destructive adjustment and does not produce a new DNG file as before. You will find it in the Detail Panel.
