If I ticked in raw converter the new function yet released, a crash report is generated.

On my PC are the latest win 10 updates. Prevoius versions of PS run properly.

It seem to be, that this a malfunction of the new update?

Regards,

Ralf

Hi Ralf,

Make sure that you're using the 1809 build of the Windows 10 updates.

Also here is the list of Unsupported formats for enhance detail:

Enhance Details does not apply to the following types of source images:

  • Non-raw files such as a JPEGs, TIFFs, and HEICs
  • Linear DNGs (including HDR and pano DNG images previously created inside Lightroom and Camera Raw)
  • DNG proxies and Smart Previews
  • Monochrome raw files (such as Leica M MONOCHROM)
  • Four-color cameras
  • Foveon sensor images
  • Fujifilm cameras with SR, EXR, or 2x4 mosaic sensors.
  • Canon S-RAW/M-RAW files
  • Nikon small raw files
  • Pentax Pixel Shift Resolution (PSR) files
  • Sony ARQ files
  • Video files

Regards,

Sahil

Sahil,

on my  PC is running the latest win10 version, as I already mentioned. It is 1809.

Raws are unprocessed Canon CR.2 files (full, not s- or m) out of a 5d Mark iv, which ps supported.

So, the troubleshootings you listed does not solve the issue, sorry.

Regards,

Ralf

Ralf, could you please let us know what graphics processor is installed in the computer?
Also, could you try updating the graphics drivers from manufacturer's website and let us know if it helps?

I´m sorry Sahil,

after updating the newest available driver from NVIDIA, it is exactly the same:

LR doesn´t start and PS´ new detail enhancement doesn´t work.

It´s pretty bad to get an unuseful update...

Hope you can fix the issue as soon as possible...

Regards,

Ralf
