The D850 is supported in Camera Raw 9.12.1, released today.

stephank46698007  see my post above on where to locate the "Update". I gave a link and then you scroll down below "Application Installers" to "Updates". Then you select your operating system and install. Lightroom 6 version 6.13 now works for me on a MAC and PC thankfully.

I upgrade to Camera Raw 10.0 and it worked. Seems it ships with 9.12 not 9.12.1.

Still

The converted files are weak…. Not even as strong as the Nikon JPG of the same image. Do you know any other tools to use?

Define weak. If you mean they are flat, or don't have any "zip" to them, that is expected. It's up to you to create your own Camera Raw defaults that will do the initial processing when the images are first imported. Camera Raw isn't going to honor any in-camera settings. When you work with the raw images, it's all up to you to make the final image what you expect it to be.

Incidentally, I downloaded some sample images from the Nikon D850 a while back, and didn't find them "weak" at all. So I don't really understand what you might be referring to. I don't have that camera. I'm still stuck with the D7100 with no plans to make a move. I'm too old and facing too many other challenges right now. Besides that, that camera does me well enough. I suppose I'm too easily pleased.

Jim

I just took another test set and the raw files are grainy compared to the Jpeg. I can send you two samples if you have a way
