@Sina5C46 The Sony Alpha 7R VI is relativly new and it take times to integrate the RAW support in Lightroom.

I think in the next update of Lightroom the support will be integrated. In the latest Camera RAW version the support is already integrated.

Adobe doesn’t announce any information about release dates and new features of the updates. So be patient.

In the meantime you can use the DNG format.

Hi Adobe Team,

The RAW files from the new Sony Alpha 7R VI are currently not supported in Lightroom.

Please add support for this camera as soon as possible, as Lightroom is an essential part of my professional workflow.

When is expected to have support in Lightroom mobile (ipad) for compressed RAW files of Sony A7v?

In current latest version 11.2.1 the files still fail to import.

Camera Raw 18.2.2 was released today and includes support for the new Sony A7 V formats. The DNG Converter is updated to convert files for use in the Lightroom applications until their next release.

Theres no real need the problem is simple.. Sony A7V compressed and compressed HQ raw files aren’t supported yet.

I think it’s the fact the camera has been out since 2nd of December 2025 and Adobe has still not updated Lightroom for it.

Despite the subscription model promising faster releases and support for new cameras, having no support for over 3 months is really poor performance. In the meantime my subscription is still being paid… and still being taken for software that doesn’t live up to the promises of a subscription model… go figure...

Hello everyone,
New Sony A7v: I can't import images taken in Raw Compressed Raw and HQ Compressed Raw, which are not recognized by Camera Raw 18.2, LrC, or Ps2026.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing?
(Additional question: I thought, perhaps incorrectly, that Raw Compressed HQ was lossless... is that right?)

UPDATE March 6, 2026: In collaboration with Sony, Lightroom is targeting support for the new Compressed (HQ) and Compressed RAW formats introduced with the Sony A7V in the April Lightroom release.
