For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:

Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

  1. Make sure your version of Photoshop or Lightroom is updated for the latest camera support.
  2. If you own an older version of Photoshop or Lightroom, Adobe provides backward compatibility for the latest cameras through the FREE Adobe DNG Converter.

Note: ETAs for specific cameras are not available

Hi Team,

I just bought Canon R5c and i am having trouble importing .cr3 images into Lightroom Classic and any other adobe product . It gives me error that files aare unsupported or damaged. I tried converting images in Adobe DNG converter but ran into same problem with the error "There was an error parsing the files" .

Camera Raw and Adobe lightroom are up to date .

Please help me out as i have client waiting for the pictures .

P.S.: Images work fine in Luminar Neo.

According to the Adobe Camera Raw supported cameras table, the R5 C is not yet supported. Only the R5 is currently supported.

Does PS 23.2.2, ACR 14.2 & LR 11.2 fully support the OM 1 camera?

Thanks

I understand that OM Digital Systems (OMDS) has acquired Olympus so you're asking about the OMDS OM-1 Mirrorless released in Feb 2022?

OM-1 support was added in the latest (7 Feb 2022) Camera Raw updates ACR 14.2 and LR Classic 11.2

Thanks but it does not have the Camera Matching Profile shown in the list as it does for the Olympus cameras.

By @AikenMooney

Support for a particular flavor of a camera’s raw file does not necessarily mean that there will be Camera Matching profiles for that camera at the time of raw file support. It is normal for Camera Matching profiles to follow raw support by one or two releases. In the case of some camera manufacturers or the event of major changes by a particular manufacturer, that time may be greatly increased.

Note: Not all cameras will ever receive a set of Camera Matching profiles. ”

Thanks & I realize that. Have used PS before I started using LR in beta ver I for windows, I think in 2006. I do recall the Win beta was a few months after support for the Mac. I have used LR up thru 11.2.

In LR 11.2 I have 9 Camera Matching Profiles, 4 color & 5 monotone.

On previous cameras I would see Adobe profiles until camera was fully supported.

I have used this computer for processing Olympus M5 II, M1 Mk II, III & M1x.

I realize on the list of cameras the OM 1 is shown as not having Camera Profiles.

My question is why are they shown on my ver 11.2 in LR? Is this a "bug" in the program?

Hope you can clarify for me.

Thanks,

danke & vg,

Okay thanks, I'm hoping they'll update it soon though.

Hi, I'm currently facing issues importing my CR3 Raw photos file from my new R5C into lightroom/ photoshop. It's saying the file is unsupported or damaged. This doesn't make sense to me, because it's effectively an R5 in photo mode? So shouldn't everything just be compatible? Hopefully there'll be an update soon! Thanks!

According to this list - https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html - the R5C isn't yet supported by Lightroom.

Hi, received my new Lumix GH6 last week and as ADobe Lightroom can't read its RAW files (.rw2), my workflow is broken. Hundreds of people are in the process of getting theirs, posting here in hope you could prioritize its support. Thanks!

Based on past experience with LR's support for cameras from major manufacturers, LR 11.3 will probably support the GH6, and LR 11.3 will probably be released in early April.

Any ideas on why Lightroom isn't allowing me to view and edit the new Panasonic GH6 .RW2 raw files? Thank you!

According to this list - https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html - the GH6 isn't yet supported by any version of Lightroom. Looks like it was released just after the current version of LrC 11.2 was released, so if things take their normal course you might expect to see support added in 11.3 (whenever that is released).

To build on Jim's reply, LR releases a new version every 8 weeks. So we might expect to see LR 11.3 in early April.

I'm thinking about getting a Fuji XT4 Will Lightroom support this model.

Hi all, I just got my brand new Panasonic GH6 and I am super excited about it. I use it for work both for videos and photos. Used the GH5 until now for this. Unfortunately the RAW RW2 files from the GH6 won't open in the latest version of Lightroom Classic (11.2) or any other Adobe programm. That's really a problem for me because working with JPGs is not really an option for me.

Can you already tell me when the update for the GH6 will be available? I guess it comes with a "Camera Raw" upgrade? Or does anyone know how long this usually takes after the release of a camera?

For the moment I have to use the Silkypix Developer which can convert the files to 16bit TIFFs. But it's not very convenient, because it takes a lot of time and the files are huge.

Many thanks in advance! Jan

Cameras currently supported by Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop are listed at this link

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Assuming availablity of said camera/lens, timing for support is typically within 2 to 3 months after the last version update. For reference, the last update to  Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop was 7 February 22.

Thank you for that info and the quick reply. Two to three months really seems like a long time to me. Honestly I am a little bit disappointed here. I hoped big brands like Panasonic and Adobe work this out together during beta phases of a camera so that the update is available at the launch of the camera. But of course, I am no expert at all. Maybe this is not possible technically.

So I guess I just have to wait and check for new updates regularly.

Is there already a planned date when to include support of the new OM-1 camera (by OM Systems, formerly Olympus) ?

Adobe rarely announces dates. But historically, support for a camera from a major manufacturer usually comes out in the next release of LR and ACR following the announcement of the camera, or in the release after that. The OM-1 was announced 2/15/22, a week after LR 11.2 was released, so we might expect to see support in LR 11.3. LR releases about every 8 weeks, so we might expect to see LR 11.3 the first week of April.
