Photoshop does not recognise this type of file

Macos 12.0.1

After importing jpegs into camera raw in photoshop, i try to open the images and i get the message that the files are not recognised, i have to close camera raw and reopen them to be recognized

Sorry to hear about this. Could you please update Photoshop to version 23.1.0 through the Creative Cloud Desktop app and let us know if it helps?
