Photoshop updated 3 days ago, now when I try and create 'Enhance Details' in ACR I get: Unsupported Hardware "Enhance Details requires a graphics card with Metal support".
Any fix? is there some preference type file I have to trash? (i saw this fixed it for someone that had the same problem in LR).
This worked before update. Macboo Pro, OSX Catalina, ACR 12.2, graphics: Intel Iris 6100

Hi there,
Enhanced details in Camera Raw requires a GPU with metal support. GPU acceleration happens automatically on compatible systems for Enhanced Details and is not controlled by Camera Raw Preferences.
To find out if your computer supports Metal, see this https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205073
Thanks,
Akash

Hi there,
Sorry that Enhance Details is not working on your 2017 MacBook Pro.
Which version of Lightroom and Camera Raw are you using and what is the version of macOS are you running on your computer.
Enhance Details is also accelerated by the GPU. Using a compatible GPU can provide significant speed improvements on high-resolution displays, such as 4K and 5K monitors.
Please review this tech note for details on supported and compatible GPU's: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/acr-gpu-faq.html
Please checkout the suggestion offered in this article https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/camera-raw-and-dng/lightroom-classic-83-enhance-details... and let us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Akash

macOS Mojave, Catalina, and Big Sur all require a video card that supports Metal and will not install otherwise.

When I go into Adobe Camera Raw and attempt to use the Enhance Details function I get the following message:
Unsupported Hardware
Enhance requires a graphics card with Metal support
What is causing the problem? And how can it be corrected?

Hi There,
Just got my Imac 2021 Monterey 12.2 (16/512) and I can't use superresolution in Camera Raw due to same problem:
"Enhance Details requires a graphics card with Metal support"
Is there a solution found yet? I cannot switch on/off use GPU in pref/camera raw/performance. Should I install a new driver for the GPU (if so; which one and where to find?).
Or will installing Rosetta be the solution? What are disadvantages of using Rosetta over Monterey?
Is Adobe going to update CC (or just Camera Raw) soon so I the "metal-problem" will be gone?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Kind regards,
Kick, Amsterdam
