I am using the new version of Captivate. I published my training, uploaded the content to AWS and am sharing the link with stakeholders (who are all on Windows machines; I'm a mac-user). The challenge is that when people using Windows devices click the AWS link, the audio is not working properly. The beginning or end of the audio files are being cut off (there is no pattern; the time cut off is different for each person). When you inspect the file, there is a warning that says it's an issue with content not being able to be auto-played. I know content can't be auto-played, but the user is clicking a button to advance to the next slide and the audio is generating from their action.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have a deadline to share this content with a client tonight, and I can't get the audio working.
I tried SCORM cloud, but my file is too big for the free plan, and I'm not sure I want to pay for a bigger plan if I don't even know that it will fix the audio issue.

Hi carly_inseer,
Can you please email us at "captivatehelp@adobe.com" with the project cpt file to test? We can connect to check the issue.

For the record (and for anyone else viewing this thread in the near future)... still have the audio issue. I'm closing in on my deadline to deliver to the client, and currently starting rebuild the entire project in captivate classic. I tried emailing my files, went through several rounds with support - they say "it's fine." But either they aren't listening to the entire audio file to hear it cut off, or ... I don't know what. Everyone else that views the files can hear that it cuts off.
I just tried creating a Captivate Classic file with all the same audio files.... none of them cut off!! So here I go rebuilding it and starting over....

Carly, would you please keep me posted on this? I am building a course--I am still creating content, but meanwhile am experimening with All New Captivate, because understanding its features is informing how I am laying out my content, but I have not yet actually built the course in the Captivate program yet. Since I have not yet built and 'published' and hosted a course, I am really nervous that i will spend so much time building it in this program and then... when if when I host it, it doesn't run/playrender properly? I am terrified, actually. So if you would please continue to share all of your experiences launching your course I would personally be so grateful.
BTW, have you ever hosted with Adobe's LMS system? I am wondering what that is like--would it be more reliable than elsewhere, or would it not matter?

Hey there, happy to continue updating you. I tried uploading to SCORM cloud and the audio issue got better, but still cut off. I wound up sending to the client with the audio not working and provided them with the full script. Not ideal, but it worked for the moment. I called Adobe Support this morning, sent my files over to the support rep and am waiting a response.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with the older version of Captivate, but if you are - I would stick with it until Captivate 2023 is a little more built out. Adobe went with the Minimum Viable Product approach with Captivate '23 and there's a lot of functionality missing that Captivate Classic can do. I wish I had chosen differently, but I am too far down the road of building it to change course at this time.
I haven't tried Adobe's LMS... I reached out to them via a contact form for pricing, but never got a response. Since I don't actually need an LMS system for internal employees, I use SCORM Cloud to share content with clients. I'm probably not the best person to ask this question! I'm a newbie to instructional design and my regular job is in product design. 🙂
