We have a powerpoint that we published as a video and then inserted into captivate and published as a SCORM package for our LMS.

In the published SCORM package, once placed on our LMS, there is a couple of words or phrases that duplicate but that does not exist in the original.  It is not tied to any external objects as it's a video from Powerpoint.

For example, it says in the published file "July first first" while in the original audio it just says "July first".

Anyone have issues with this? Any suggestions?

Could be some corruption in the original PPT slide or objects.  Might also have just been a glitch in the process of turning the PPT into a video.

You could try doing the video conversion process again to see if it was a glitch.

If that doesn't work, and you MUST use the PPT content in your Captivate project, then delete the original problematic text object in the PPT slide and insert a new one, making sure there is no animation or other effects on it.  Then try republishing that PPT as a video again before encoding the video with Adobe Media Encoder, then brining the MP4 into Captivate again.

Either way, starting any Captivate project with a PPT is going to tie your hands a lot.  Much better to just build everything from the ground up in Captivate where possible.

It was actually the audio file.  We had to save it as a WAV instead of mp4 and that solved the problem.

I do agree though....building in captivate would be ideal.  However, we often get them sent to us by other departments and they require a quick turn around, so that's usually are quickest option.

Thank you for the response!
