I am trying to publish to HTML5 using Captivate 7:
When the slide loads I want the audio to play automatically and then there is a button the user can press to repeat the audio...but when I publish Captivate tells me "internal error" and "publish failed"
Can I not just insert audio into a slide for use in HTML5 outputs?
Hello there,
Thanks for sharing the project.
I could see the publish failing stating Internal Error.
In slide 31, Play Audio Action associated with the smartshape doesn't have any Audio Resource linked.
Could you please try associating the audio with Play Audio Action and Publish the course again.
Please let us know whether it resolves the issue?
Thanks,

Hello there,
Audio is supported in HTML5 outputs.
Could you please try clearing the preferences using the utility given along with Captivate (goto<installed directory>\Adobe Captivate 7 x64\utils\CleanPreferencesWin.bat)
Try publishing the project again.
If you still get the error, Could you please try to create a new project with audios and try publishing to html5.
If issue persists, please share the cptx with us (email-to: mahajan@adobe.com)
Thanks,
Mayank Mahajan

Is there a button or function that checks for these irregularities / errors?
