I'm having a bit of trouble with Captivate 3 not sending scores to our LMS.
It happens sometimes - not always - no rhyme or reason specifically.
Here's what I have found out - if the class times out, or if the learner "fast fowards" throught the slides, I can't see the completion record in our LMS. The learners are telling me they have completed the quiz questions too. And have gone through the whole demo.
Anyone else finding this issue?
Thanks
Kirsten

I don't know if this is a 'known' bug, but it is to us...
If you have a long Captivate course with a lot of questions and 'Reporting Level: Interactions and Score' are set in the Quiz Preferences, there's a good chance the data will not make it back to the LMS.
The issue is it seems Captivate sends it's data back to the LMS on a timed-basis, like every 7 seconds...and when it's exited, it doesn't check to see if all the data made it back to the LMS first....so any data that did not make it back is just lost.
This *might* be in Firefox only...?
So one easy test may be to ask users to only use IE and see if the issue appears there.
If so, then next easiest is just 'Report Score' instead of 'Interactions and score' and see if that solves the issue.
If neither work, post back with your findings and any other detail....

Hi,
I am having the same issue with C4.
I have tried all kinds of reporting settings, but it still appears to be very random.
We are using IE7 and have a self build "LMS".
I just tried your solution of reporting level Report Score only, but still unlucky.
Do you have another option that might work?
Cheers, Helga

Allright - bear with me while I try to explain this w/o being a "tekkie".
Our LMS (eternally hosted) was looking for Captivate scores/completion records every 7 seconds. That's why the scores were sometimes working, and sometimes not.
Our vendor changed the LMS setting to look for the scores/completion records every 1 second.
That has seemed to fix my problem. (this one at least)
Good Luck!
