Can I change and save the AdobeCaptivate.ini file using the demo?

Currently it won't let me but I don't know if its a AdobeCaptivate restriction or a Windows 10 issue. That means I can't test simulations.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Steve

Answered my own question. Nope. Apparently that folder is locked on the demo so you can't make any changes and the sim won't start until I change a setting in the INI fie ...sigh.

These ini files are (as you said) cached inside the CPTX.  Changing the ini file in your system doesn't affect the projects created before that change.

You may need to copy all of your slides over to a new project shell.  See if that then allows you to take advantage of the changes to the .ini file.

hey RodWard,

Thanks for the answer. I am currently evaluating the DEMO version and when I try to access the "computer simulation" project I get a pop up advising me to adjust a setting in the INI file. Apparently that particular folder is locked by Captivate in the demo version so I can't change it, therefore can't test the simulation feature. I suspect if I license the software that would resolve my issue.

Cheers

Steve

I am not Rod, but just want to tell that the trial version is totally functional (except that published files will expire after a while). This issue can not be linked with you using a trial version.

Agreed.  You probably just don't have permissions to change files in that folder on your computer.  You may be able to get around the issue by copying the ini file to your desktop, then making the change, before copying it back into the original folder.
