Can someone help answer these questions about "All New" vs "Classic"?

Hello!

I've never used Captivate before, and I have to use it for a work project per customer request.

  1. Captivate Classic allows you to import a "Web Object" and add custom JavaScript to a slide, which is great! But I can't find these options in the "All New" version. Do they even exist in the new version?
  2. If Web Object, JavaScript interactions and other features aren't yet developed for "All-New" is there a link to a roadmap, so we can see which features are planned?
    3. If there is no way to add a "Web Object" in the new version is there a way for us to add our own custom widgets? I have not seen any documention on this, so if the answer is "yes", please also point me in the direction of where I can find more information on developing a widget (we are a team software engineers, we are only using Captivate because of this contract)
  3. I have seen the option File > Import > Project Content and Closed Captions. I have only seen a video related to the Closed Captions, but I can't find any resources or documentation related to "importing project content via this .doc file". What would the doc file look like? What is it importing? What can I use this for?
  4. I have also seen an option to import your own Theme, but no documentation or tutorials on how to create the ".cpth" files to create your own theme. Is it possible we can use a custom theme to create custom widgets for our slides?

Any help in these matters would be appreciated.

I will try but still keep to version 11.5.5.553

  1.  You cannot add a web object in the new version. You can use Javascript in interactions, but it is much more limited than in Captivate Classic.
  2.  There is no roadmap available, many have requested this to no avail.
  3.  That option's wording is confusing. In Captivate Classic it is clear: you can export project captions and closed captions to a Word document, and all text will be arranged in two identical columns. The workflow is meant to translate all text in the second column, and re-import the same document to result in the project being translated with the text from the second column. I didn't test it out yet, sorry. It had issues in the past quite a lot. Captivate Classic has a second possibility for translation, by using XML.
  4.  Themes have been deprecated a lot in this new version, they were VERY useful in previous versions and Captivate Classic. I have been creating many themes for clients, and you can find multiple posts in my blog about themes and their components for Captivate Classic. I don't like what is kept in New Captivate where they dumped the master slides and object styles and kept only text styles, fonts and color palette. Here is an example blog post:
