Cannot retake quiz with unlimited attempts

Hello All,

We have 3 courses in moodle that have quizzes that allow for unlimited attempts, but when students complete the quiz, they do not have the option to retake the quiz, only to review it.  When I (the administrator) switch to a student role and complete the quiz, I have the opportunity to retake it, but the students enrolled do not have this option.  The only way we can get them to retake it is to delete their initial attempt, then have them clear their internet cache and take it as it if was for the first time.

What I see, and what they should see:

What they see:

Students should be able to keep taking the quiz over again and improve their score, with the highest score recorded.  Does anyone have any ideas for why they don't have this option?  Like i mentioned, the setting is for unlimited attempts and to record the highest score.

Thanks in advance!

They will have attempts until they pass the quiz, improving a passing score will not be possible. How did you set up the  passing criteria?

I see two different styles for the buttons on the score slide: normally they all have the same quiz button object style. Did you perhaps edit the score slide in a way that did mess up its functionality? The rule is that you shouldn't delete any embedded object (which has no individual timeline). You can uncheck items, like the fields that have to be shown, or edit texts.
