Cap9 Published File SUDDENLY No Longer Plays ANYWHERE

Hi, really bad timing for this one to crop up, but I have a sample on my web portfolio site that I updated in Cap9 last September. It played perfectly on my Mac and my PC as well as on my website -- at that time.

I just learned yesterday that it is thoroughly broken. I can't get the .htm file to play locally either.

Here is what I get when I click the link, or click the .htm file, to launch the lesson both on my website and on my Mac (the PC just displays a blank page in the browser, which defaults to IE/Microsoft Edge):

I get the same display when I only try to play the content locally on my PC by clicking the SWF. (When I try to play the content locally on my Mac via the SWF, for some reason my Adobe Flash program launches.) I did try to change the file path in the URL (on my website) to point to the SWF instead of the .htm file, but that did not work either. I got a 404 error message when I did that.

In case this helps glean an answer, here is a screenshot showing the published file output. (The highlighted file is the .htm):

Here is a screenshot showing the settings for how the content was published. Since the issue repeats itself the same either on my website or locally on my PC or Mac, I am thinking there is an issue with the file.

This is the ONLY content I have on my website that is a sample rendered in Cap9. Actually, it was created in an earlier version (5.5 maybe?) and I updated it when I wanted to condense the lesson to display on my website using Cap9.

If you have ANY suggestions, I'd be most grateful as this is one of my newest and best show pieces.

Thank you!

What happens when you attempt to republish the project?

Years ago I ran into a situation when I sent a zipped up the course to a colleague for publication and our company's security software, if I recall correctly, interpreted the javascript within the project as malware and deleted it. In the end, the project would not work. Took me a great deal of my time to recognize this and eventually we stopped putting the packaged content on the network server and began uploading it to our LMS directly. Not sure if this is related but if the package has been disabled by security software you will likely have to republish anyway.

Thanks, Paul! A security issue did cross my mind, but I can't imagine WHAT issue I would be having like that as I am not dealing with a corporation's firewall and besides all the Articulate content that I updated and added to my server last September, at the same time as this content, is still working. Articulate outputs SEVERAL more files and nested folders than Captivate, as I've seen.

I did republish the org source file. The .htm file will still not launch or play. BUT I can get the SWF to launch and play locally. Using a PC. I'm going to try loading it to my server and see if it plays just as well using the newly republished SWF. In the meantime, if you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears : ) thx again!

Ok it's all working now! I am not sure at all what happened -- I'll have to keep my eye on it for future issues -- but republishing and reposting did the trick. Thanks again!
