I am trying the last version of Captivate 10 and I am not getting sound on Safari. I imported wave files. Need I to do something to get the sounds working? Thanks

Is this problem only in Safari or in Chrome as well?

Also, check if the audio is muted 'by choice' accidentally - Mute audio in tabs in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Generally, .wav files should work. Are they working fine in project and in preview?

If this problem is only in preview, try publishing the project.

Thanks for asking.

Answering your questions:

- It only happens on Safari

- The audio was not muted

- I imported wave files to captivate but as the captivate exported the audios in mp3 format maybe it is could be the problem.

- The audio works very well in the project and in the preview

- The problem happens in the exported project

What are you exporting (publishing) the project as - html or swf or both?

Also, did you check in Audio Management tab?

Did you export the project in HTML5 with auto start enabled? Safari mute video with audio automatically when they are autoplaying. Try to go in the safari browser preferences, head to the websites section, then click autoplay in the sidebar and enable autostart media with sound for your website or LMS.

Hope that helps

Yes, I did it, but I checked in the autoplay list and my website is not there. I have some projects in HTML5 that works very well on Safari.

Hi There,

I would request you to confirm the Captivate exact version (by launching it and click on Adobe Captivate at top left corner -> About Adobe Captivate), your Mac OS version and Safari version?

I have tried to publish Responsive HTML5 using Captivate 2017 (10.0.0.192) on Mac OS 10.13.2 and audio loads fine at my end on Safari version 11.0.2.

Also, make sure you should select Allow All Auto-Play option when visiting other websites by navigating to Safari web browser preferences -> Websites section.

Regards,

Ajit
