Captivate 11.8 - Where is it?

I see Adobe have posted on this forum sttaing that 11.8 is now available for subscribers. However, there is absolutely no info on where to find the download, and it does not show up under "check for updates".

Does anyone have an idea?

There is a lot of confusion (also for me), but someone told me the post was only for business licenses and that the availability for personal licenses would be in January. Feeling very sorry, because I couldn't understand that from the original posting. It is however mentioned in the release notes for 11.8?

Hey!

Adobe actually gave me the links on live chat - and I downloaded the mac version. Unfirtunately even though I went to those download pages, they didnt save in my browser history. But they are available if you chat with Adobe.

Apparantely 11.8 also supports macOS Monterey - but they seem to have kept that quite too. The Captivate team contniue to communication poorly with the community. As you mentioned, their post didnt really make any of it clear.

You didn't read my comment till the end: at this moment 11.8 is not yet available for individual licenses, only for business licenses.

I did question Adobe as the files are labelled LS21 and have old comments on those download pages from earlier this year - but have been assured the files have been updated to 11.8 in those places

Not sure about the Mac OS version you get from this link but I just downloaded and installed the Windows version and it is definitely NOT 11.8.

You can install the 11.8 version from the trial page. Here's the link:

You might end up downloading the 11.5 version if you don't clear your browser cache before downloading it. I would recommend using your browser's incognito mode to download this version if you don't wish to clear your browser cache. To be sure you're downloading the correct version, you can check your ongoing downloads from your browser (Ctrl+J for Chrome) and make sure the source contains 11_8 in it's description as shown below.

I noticed that my downloads in my Adobe Account led to 11.8 but my serial number (provided for my participation in the eLearning community) was not valid for this release. Any thoughts?

Hi Paul, the serial keys won't be working from this version onwards. You can reach out to us (elcommunity1@adobe.com) to extend your subscription duration to redeem your community points. We're planning to make the points redemption process simpler as we are doing away with the serial keys.
