Captivate 2017 HTML5 Preview Doesn't Work

I recently switched from the trial to a subscription for Captivate 2017. After loading my learning project for the first time (and adding four quiz slides), I tried to preview the presentation and I get a spinning loading gif and nothing else. I tried to publish it locally, and got the same result. I restarted my computer and got the same result.

In between my trial and subscription, I upgraded my OS to High Sierra. I don't know if this has had an impact. I've tried the preview in both Safari (my main browser) and Chrome, both with the same results.

I'm having a problem with the browser-based preview as well.  Doesn't load in browser preview or html5 preview (I've run the html5 tracker and nothing shows up as incompatible).   On Windows 10, Captivate 2017, preview in Microsoft Edge and IE.  The preview in SCORM Cloud doesn't work either - just get the spin icon...  Previewing the 'Project' works fine, and 'Next ... slides', for the full course.

Do you have spaces or weird characters in the file name?

It looks like it is only indirectly related to the drag and drop interactions.  Not sure yet what the source of the problem is - but I tried copying over each page that had drag and drop interactions to a blank title, and they all worked in the blank title with the preview in html5.... so still diagnosing...

(sorry to have taken over this thread - but hopefully this can help the London troubleshoot)

I found my issue!

I was changing the name of the Interaction on the page (under the DRAG AND DROP tab), which is fine... but you cannot use a DASH!  "-" in the name of the Drag and Drop Item.  (Underscore is fine).  (maybe this is obvious to long-time Captivate users?)

I just tried using a dash in a different slide name, and it was fine - so it appears from my preliminary testing that it may only be an issue with the drag and drop interaction name.  For other property names (like shapes or images), the program automatically changes dashes to underscores when you try to use dashes in the name - looks like that same feature needs copied over to the drag and drop interaction tab.

I don't use Adobe apps on my phone, nor have a Wacom tablet. The only other app I've had any issues with is the Nik Collection of filters, but Google stopped updating it a while ago (last official compatibility was OS X 10.10 and Window 8), so that wasn't too surprising.

All of my work apps are fine with the update. The only app I've had problems with is Captivate, which I'm just learning, and, frankly, forgot about before upgrading. It is odd that Captivate doesn't work, while all the Creative Cloud apps are fine. I guess Mac support for Captivate is something of an afterthought.

Strange, because I heard that other CC apps did have issues as well with the new iOS. Wacom tablets also don't work as expected. It is not only Captivate IMO but I may be wrong.

CP2017 is not declared compatible with High Sierra. That is not unusual, since Cp was release months before this new OS. Someone reported that turing off the playbar helped. Since I am not a Mac user, and will never install a new OS before I'm sure that my exisiting apps will continue to be functional, I cannot help you further.
