Captivate 2019 trial version projects wont open in licensed version

Hello. I used the trail version to create several projects. My company then purchased Captivate 2019 for me and I downloaded through our software center. Note: I did not recieve a license for the trial version I was using, the licensed version was a seperate download and the trial version was deleted. Now I find that none of the projects I was working on will load. I get the same error for every single one of them. InkedCaptivate error 11.25.19_LI.jpg

I have tried the "work around" on Adobe's support page used for when the above error is displayed with no luck. Does anyone know why this is happening. I can eliminate a few of the listed problems. It is not that is is open, It is not insufficient resources or hard disk space. Which only leaves damaged file. I find it hard to belive that all of them (10 projects) are now corrupt given that they worked fine the last day of the trial. The trial did end before I recieved the licensed version. Thank you.

I suspect you have a license for the first version of CP2019, and worked on a trial version which was more recent.  As has always been the case, you cannot open a project created with a more recent version in an older version. Can you check the version number under Help, About Captivate? Most recent version is 11.5.1.499.

If that is not the present version number, try to update your version. It is free, Help, Updates.

Thanks for the quick reponse as that is another problem I'm having.....I cannot update the licensed version I just downloaded. I have 11.0.0.243. When I try to update, the updater locks up and won't respond. I have to shut it down using the task manager.

Yes I do. I found Fix2IEEdge.zip that fixed (or so I thought) the updater. Now it will update to 93% and stop. I get error code 184. Look that up and it says its locked by another program, restart and try again. I've done that twice, still goes right to 93% and stops. help please
