The header is blank and does not  display the time (in seconds) for each screen. When the playbar advances, it just displays a series of red lines. Please help...I need to sync up the screens. Thanks much!

Did you try to close Captivate and restart? Or restart your system?

That happens sometimes, but normally will be restored on restart. If that is not the case, try to clean the Preferences. There is a cleaning file for Win and for Mac in the subfolder Utils under the installation folder of Captivate. Beware: you'll lose all customisation.

I'm not sure if this is also totally valid for CP6, which I have no longer on my system.

You were right! The timeline header reappeared after I rebooted. Thanks much for your help...I don't know what I'd do without this forum!

This strange 'glitch' exists since CP6, but must confess that it happens a lot less on CP8 for me at least.
