Captivate 8 Taking a LONG time to load

Despite having 8 GB of RAM, windows 8, clear the cache - captivate loads so slow I have time to "get up and get a cup of coffee" (ok that's a little exaggerating).  It is nearly unbearable.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    If you REALLY want Captivate to load quickly, by all means do as Lilybiri suggests above, but also ditch your standard disk-type hard drive and replace it with an SSD.  You won't believe the difference.

    Did you install 64-bit version of Captivate? Do you have a dedicated graphics card? Is Captivate installed on your system? Check if project folder and cached folder are both on your system as well (Preferences). Cp is a 'hungry' application. I have 32GB of RAM, NVidia card with 2GB and sometimes have to wait as well.
