Captivate 9 Manual

Where can I find the manual for Captivate 9? I could not find it within the program. What I did find I Googled. It's a PDF called Adobe Captivate Help but it doesn't cover everything, even though there are 17 chapters. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You're touching on a sore point asking that question on this forum. Adobe's 'Help' is not known for 'covering everything'. If it did, this forum would not likely exist.

Moreover, only the chapter 'What is New' is really up to date, the other chapters have a lot of outdated information. Seems to be 'normal' nowadays for most software documentation.

Thank you for the information. I reviewed your page. Wow, a 500 page book about issues with the program. At least I now know that it is not me - it's system wide!

Don't misunderstand. The 500 pages of information doesn't mean that Captivate isn't a great application. The vast majority of the issues recorded in that book are due to user error or not understanding how complex e-learning technologies can be. Only a small percentage are actual bugs or deficiencies in the app.

People often swallow the marketing hype that companies put out to the effect that "creating e-learning is now ridiculously easy and requires no expertise whatsoever" (or words to that effect).

The more functionality that Adobe packs into Captivate, and the more complex internet and mobile technologies become, the more potential issues there will be to explain to puzzled end users.
