Captivate 9 trial and Powerpoint

I have just downloaded Captivate 9 trial on my iMac as well as Java (as it asked me to).  When I try to start a new project using a powerpoint presentation, it starts converting the files, completes it and then freezes.  I can't do anything except shut it down.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

    Did you install on your system, not on a networked drive? Are the paths for documents and cache (see Preferences) pointing to a location on your system? Since you are on Mac, I don't think you have to launch as administrator. There are almost no Mac CP users around here to help on the forums, only Win users.

    Thanks for your reply.  Yes, just on my system and it's all sitting there looking like it has been installed properly.  Can't figure out what has gone wrong... ;-(
