Captivate 9 - Video Timer Widget Doesn't Pause when Video playback Pauses

Question

I have a slide (#2) with an event video (1 hour) inserted where we need our attorneys to finish it to receive credit, so Captivate playbar was removed so they can't skip ahead. I added a timer widget to the bottom of the video slide so they can see how they are progressing through the one hour video playback, but when I pause the video, the counter still continues to count. How do I fix this so when user pauses video, the counter also pauses until they click play. The widget is named Timer01.

I wonder if you can even do this because it's a built-in widget.

Slide #1 is intro and Slide #3 is thank you slide they must get to in order to receive credit via our LMS.

As a former college professor I don't like that type of 'pushing', but that is off topic. After all you can sleep while watching that video playing.

Event video plays totally independent from Captivate. The Timer widget is synchronized with Captivate. To achieve what you want will probably needs ome JS programming. Maybe an JS expert will pop in, I am only a basic user of JS.

The easiest way would be to switch to multislide synchronized video, user will be able to follow the video on the timeline, or you could insert a custom slide timeline.
