I get a message to load Audition CS5.5 when i try to access newly installed Audition CC2015 from Captivate 7.  Is there a workaround?

    I posted wherever possible that there is (again) a compatibility issue between Captivate 8 (released over 1 year ago) and the new Audition and Photoshop released as CC 2015. Too bad there is no official posting about this.

    Audition CC2015 will not be functional if you use the Edit with Audition button in the Audio Dialog box. However, it should be possible to use it for editing audio clips in the Library, using the right-click menu, Edit with...

    The other workaround, probably too late, was to keep the former version of Audition CC2014, when installing the latest one. That is not the default setup, only when you click on the button Advanced Options was it possible to uncheck the option 'Remover older versions'. In that case the roundtripping with Audition (and Photoshop) would have continued to be functional with the former version.

    Hi Lilybiri,

    I have Captivate 8 and would like a fully functional round-trip to audition. Am I correct in thinking that the standalone CC2014 version of audition should work/ is compatible? I spoke to Adobe and they said you can purchase the older versions with a perpetual license to avoid the CC update issues.

    Which version of 8? My memory may be wrong, but I thought there was a release 8.0.3 that was meant to restore roundtripping with 2015CC?
