Captivate Classic | "Preview > Play Slide" not working

I've set my preferences to play 5 slides when I want to quickly preview an edit.

However when I select Play Slide I only get the slide that I am on playing. How can I quickly preview my next 5 slides or whatever setting I set in Preferences? I haven't used Captivate in four years ... has this function been removed/changed?

Thanks for any help!

Well there have been a lot of changes lately, so I think for your captivate version the  5 slides preview option is not available anymore, you have to preview the complete proyect instead.

As you said, the preview slide only works for the slide you're currently viewing but you can preview the completely project and use a play bar to move quickly between slides until you find the one your are looking for.

If anyone have some other tip, I would love to hear it too.

... Ouch this hurts ... what a time-waster this is.

I hope there is a solution.

Bummer ... I have not used Captivate in about four years and touted it as THE software simulation elearning tool. I've had to use it on a project that started a few months back and am surprised at the changes. I've noticed that some of the posters in the discussion form, names I've recognized from the past, were disappointed in the new Captivate. I'm just wondering if there are any other competitng elearning tools out there that might have eclipsed Captivate in the software sim area?
